About Operations
An operation is a series of steps such as Measure, Construct, and Verify, performed with a workcell and using a Machine coordinate system.

 You have to set up an operation before you can start creating the steps. |
An operation is an assembly feature that contains the following information:
• Name
• Workcell to be used
• Machine coordinate system for DMIS program
• Comments (optional)
• A set of parameters (optional)
• FROM and HOME points (optional)
• A retract plane
When the steps are created, they contain a reference to the current operation name. Operation setting is modal, that is, once an operation is created, it stays current until another operation is created or activated.
